NON GMO Free Range Chickens

We’ve always ordered fresh, never-frozen chickens from local markets, so we were a little hesitant to buy frozen meat of any kind.

We just cooked our first one, and it completely changed our minds.

Preparation was simple: thawed it in the refrigerator for two days, then roasted it at 350°F in our Le Creuset Dutch oven for about an hour with garlic, onions, poblano pepper, carrots, potatoes, herbs, spices, salt, and pepper. We added Marsala wine the last 15 minutes, then cut the chicken into pieces, and let it rest in the pot before serving for another 15 minutes.

This chicken is fire! It’s incredibly fork-tender, and the flavor is amazing, rich, clean, and chicken-forward. It isn’t watery or bland like so many grocery store chickens.

It’s absolutely worth the extra money, and we can’t wait to try the beef and pork!

We have been buying chicken and turkey from this farm for many years. The quality is top-notch and the customer service is amazing. I cook a whole chicken in a Romertoph clay pot, make stock and chicken pot pies.

You can really taste the difference in these chickens. Came perfectly packed and still completely frozen when I received them via UPS even though the box sat on my front porch for a few hours. I am the only one who eats chicken in my house, so I roast these and use them throughout the week for lunches and dinner. Will definitely be buying more!
